We have moved our supply of sample pots and the receptacle for depositing samples to the interview room behind the Reception office. This provides more privacy for patients.
Patients who suspect they have a urine infection will be asked to complete a short questionnaire about their symptoms on the new SurgeryPod and to leave their sample in the box provided.
A GP or nurse will then review the SurgeryPod responses and analyse the sample and respond to the patient later the same day. If a prescription is required then this can be handed to dispensary (for collection of delivery of medication) or sent electronically to a pharmacy of the patient’s choice.
If you are bringing in a different type of sample or urine for a chronic disease review please continue to complete the paperwork provided and leave it with the paperwork in the box. The nursing team will retrieve the samples regularly throughout the day.
