With people moving into and out of the area, the turnover of patients at the surgery is up to 400 a year, we thought it would be helpful to remind all patients:-
Who we are & What we do
The Friends of Stow Surgery is a charity set up in 2000. All patients are automatically members of the Charity. It is run by a committee elected at the Annual General Meeting. The object of the Charity is “...the provision of equipment and services for the benefit of the patients of Stow Surgery not provided from state funds or by statutory authorities.”
The first item of equipment funded by your Charity was a Defibrillator. Other examples have included the automated check-in system, spirometry equipment, ambulatory blood pressure monitors, infant oximeters, opthalmoscopes and auroscopes.
How do we do this? It is all funded by voluntary donations and fund raising.
We hope that you found these comments helpful but if you wish to know more about this or any other aspect of our work then please contact any member of the Committee.
The 2016/17 AGM was held on 29th March 2017 at 7pm at the Royal British Legion, Well Lane, Stow.
