South West Ambulance Service Under Extreme Pressure Posted on 2 Mar 2018

We have heard from South West Ambulance Service that they are under extreme pressure today due to an increase in 999 calls and the weather situation.

We have been asked to remind people not to call 999 unless they are suffering from serious injuries or a life threatening condition such as severe breathing difficulties, unconsciousness, severe chest pain or stroke, heavy loss of blood or a serious head injury / fractures.

Please use our local facilities where possible.

The minor injuries unit at North Cotswolds Hospital is open until 8pm this evening and from 8am to 8pm over the weekend.

If you need advice on where to turn please contact the surgery (open until 6.30pm today) or NHS111 overnight / over the weekend. We have doctors and volunteer drivers with 4x4's who can advise, visit and support patients today.

There is a lot of information available on the website below including live waiting times for A&E at Gloucester and Cheltenham.

Please ensure that you have sufficient medicines to last the weekend. All of the local pharmacies are open today, as usual.
