The surgery has remained open during this week's adverse weather conditions.
We are extremely grateful to everyone that has helped and are continuing to help to ensure those that need the services of a doctor or nurse are attended to. Many home visits have been undertaken on foot and our staff have gone above and beyond to ensure that some vulnerable / elderly patients have been able to remain at home.
We have nurse appointments available this afternoon if people are able to get to the surgery.
Well Lane is still icy and many people are accessing the surgery on foot (walking in the road). The surgery car park is as clear as we can get it but still has snow from the snow plough around the periphery meaning that it can accommodate less vehicles. There is some on road parking but predominately on ice. Please think ahead and where possible park in town or in the town car parks and walk to the surgery.
Thinking ahead to next week there will be people who have not been able to attend this week, wanting routine appointments. We are also anticipating a pre-Christmas rush. We have a significant number of appointments embargoed next week to ensure that people who need to be seen urgently can be seen before Christmas. Please think ahead and let us know as early as possible if you need to be seen this side of Christmas.
Urgent appointments are available each day for those people who need to be seen on the day.
Please remember that the local pharmacies are open and are able to help with many minor ailments. The Minor Injuries Unit at Moreton in Marsh is also open 8am - 8pm every day.
